About me

Ángel Carreras is a published author and writer based in Chicago, driven by ambition and credence to manifest positive impact within his life. He is most fascinated by the numinous and miraculous experiences that inspire him to write. Carreras believes a strong imagination makes room for rich mental landscapes, alluring writing, and is the bridge between humans and empathy. He completed his first book titled “A Sliver of Serenity” at 21, while completing his undergraduate degree. Professionally, he has also worked as a grant writer, ghostwriter, copywriter, and content writer at The Hokin Project, Option Pit, and through freelance opportunities. Ángel is currently writing his first novel “Crimson Nails” and working on his sophomore poetry book. Through vulnerability and endless research, he hopes his next books submarine the readers into an untouched feeling.

While Carreras was completing his undergraduate degree, he took multiple rigorous courses expanding the traditional peripheral of writing and literature. Ángel believes his rounded education and unfeigned passion has and continues to lead him to greater professional and personal endeavors.

As an emerging writer, I feel it’s necessary to be an advocate for my community and foster an environment where voices may be amplified.
